Michael Quinn, CD & Associates, Safety Certification Achievement
One of CD & Associates’ Construction Safety and Health Specialists, Mike Quinn, successfully passed the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), Safety Trained Supervisor in Construction (CHST) Exam on March 16th, 2017. The CHST is a nationally recognized third party safety certification for safety professionals practicing in the construction field. The Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification is designed for individuals who demonstrate competency in health and safety activities devoted to the prevention of construction illnesses and injuries.
In the past twenty years, the responsibilities of safety professionals have expanded. Safety issues have become more complex and today’s safety professionals must be continually better qualified. BCSP credential holders are among the most highly trained, educated, and experienced individuals in the safety field.
Mike has been a construction safety professional for 4 years; prior to entering the safety field Mike was a Journeyman Electrician for 16 years with Local 98, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. During his time as an Electrician, Mike was a Foreman for 11 years and so understands the value and importance of workers safety to a productive and profitable project. With Mike’s extensive electrical training and experience, he has become CDA’s subject matter expert for electrical safety related work practices.
